Still Life with a Toothbrush (Day 3)

Here is yesterday's painting.

Today I painted the sink as well as shadows cast on it. Also I lightened up the wall little bit. It was quite a challenge to make the porcelain look like porcelain. I think I need to come back and add stronger highlights on it - too wet to do it now. Here is what I've got today.

  2. Just wanted to let you know you have been the closest in interpreting the paintings.

The foreign language on the wall is "Blissymblocs" for "This is my life". The toad is my ex-husband with the two tadpoles out of water symbolizing my kids. You're the only person who noticed the person outside the window! You are very perceptive!

  4. Looks like porcelain, absolutely! Wow. Love the way you've painted around the shadows from the faucet. Thanks for sharing your process. So instructional.
