New York Cityscape (Karin Jurick's DSDF Challenge) - Day 4
Today I added more details to the painting - windows on the buildings, features on the cars, people on the street, etc. I think I can finish it by tomorrow.
Below is the photo reference from Karin's DSDF blog.
This is going quite well, Peter. I love the reflective light in the taxis and the light cast on the buildings. I am looking forward to the final version. I really hadn't considered doing this challenge, but I am fond of cityscapes and may give it a try. Thanks for the heads up.
Watercolor was my first love.
I used to bring in a small watercolor set and paint in my car during my break.
And painted local scenery for over ten years.
There were times when I painted watercolor en plein air and sold my work to morning joggers, lunch time pass-byers and evening walkers everyday.
Then switched to oil and painted about ten years.
Now I'm back to watercolor and still love it.
It's like an old friend who greets me after all these years, warm, cheerful, spontaneous and surprising!
Dang Peter! You're putting me to shame! I don't think I want to post mine on my blog anyway...
